Organisations
- AAA
- Asian Ancestral Army. 19th Century Chinese group, which
engages in pacifist warfare annually to celebrate Chinese
New Year, and is based around the Ancestral Restaurant
in Christchurch.
- ALFs
- ALFs Imperial Army. Victorian British Colonial Pacifist
Warfare organisation. The
original Pacifist Warfare organisation, the Wizard of New
Zealand is their Patron.
- CAS
- Czar's Army of the South. "White Russian"
Pacifist Warfare group, based in Dunedin; it contains one regiment,
the "1st Lindskiis", and is usually refered to by this
name.
- CNSM
- Canterbury Naval Soviet Militia (1910s Russian Communist).
Pacifist Warfare unit which is sometimes a part of KEA, but
will turn on you at the drop of a hat. Based in Christchurch.
- KEA
- KAOS Expeditionary Army. This is the military wing of
of KAOS. KEA isn't just about Pacifist Warfare, although
that part is admittedly popular; it's intended to organise
'days out'. KEA regiments are based around KAOS branches.
- NCGOO
- New Church of the Great Old Ones (a Cthulhu Cult). Superceded by RCGOO
(see below).
- NCLMI
- New Carthaginian Light Marine Infantry. A Pacifist Warfare
group that, despite the name, tends to wear heavy padded armour
and carry tall shields. Based in Dunedin.
- OUHGS
- Otago University Highland and Gaelic Society. Scottish
cultural club that engages in Pacifist Warfare from time to
time. Based in Dunedin.
- RCGOO
- Reformed Church of the Great Old Ones (a Cthulhu Cult).
A group dedicated to opening the gates and ushering forth
the elder gods of
Lovecraftian
fiction to end the age of
humanity in fire, blood, mutation and madness. Preventing
this requires regular Pacifist Warfare battles. Based in
Christchurch, but rumoured to be part of a sinister global
conspiracy. Officially, they don't exist, and certainly
aren't connected with KAOS in any way.
|
Miscellaneous
- HELS
- Her/His Excellency's Land Ship. A designation for KEA
tanks,
adapted from the archaic British term 'His Majesty's Land Ship'
('Excellency' being a form of address for Dictators of KAOS).
- KAOS
- Killing As Organised Sport.
KAOS branches are based around university campuses, and
mostly recruit
students, although leaving university doesn't necessarily mean
leaving KAOS... see also About KAOS.
- Pacifist Warfare
- Massed 'soft' toy weapon combat, where the goal is not to
win but to have fun. Battles can often be very silly affairs. See also
the KEA Military
Handbook.
- PSB-SG
- Peer Street Boys' Spud-Gun. The occupants of the Peer Street flat,
and a number of their regular guest were fond of such devices. This
denotes that the device is (or was) built, owned or operated by one
of the 'Peer Street Boys'. In Pacifist Warfare, such weapons are
only fired into the air to rain (soft) stuff down on the combatants.

This History is a work in progress. Please contact the Lieutenant
Colonel regarding
any errors or omissions.
The coloured title-bars in this history represent the subject or host
regiment.
Groups marked in
yellow bold
are the designated victors; this isn't relevant to every kind of
operation, mostly battles. If more than one is marked
these groups were victorious allies; in draws no group
is marked.
Groups with an asterisk (*) are the organising or host group;
the coloured title bar signifies in which KEA Regiment's territory
the operation takes place.
All ranks in KEA are to a greater or lesser degree temporary;
staff rank lapsing on a yearly basis, while field rank
is assigned for a single operation. However, all ex-officers
have the honourary rank equivalent to the highest
rank they have held to date.
KEA ranks marked in bold are field ranks
directly earned through that person's own initiative in putting together
units or devices, or in logistics or intelligence
(as opposed to staff or field rank appointments).
See the KEA Military
Handbook for a fuller explaination.
If a group has not more than three people in the field, nor
monsters, beasts, or devices,
it is generally not counted in these tables.
