The KAOS Noticeboard is in the main foyer of
the Students' Association, to the left or the main
cafe door. All important pieces of information will
be posted here and it is suggested that you check
the board regularly.
The KAOS HQ (otherwise known as KAOS corner)
is the operational headquarters of KAOS and is
manned by operatives at all times (well, almost
always). Members of the Politburo and the Dictator
may be found here as well as the continuous game of
500. It is situated in the Lower Common Room, and
your first assignment is to find and secure this HQ.
The brandishing of weapons in the LCR is punishable
by whatever extreme measures the assembled crowd
Calls for. Cleaning ladies are to be deferred to at
all times (there's enough scum in KAOS corner
without the litter as well).
Killing Rounds:
The current and complete rules for killing rounds
can be found in the
Assassins'
Guide.
Notice of killing rounds will be posted on the
KAOS noticeboard the week before the round begins.
(The first round is an exception, sign up for this
on club day or as soon as possible at the
noticeboard). Only people who sign their name on the
sheet provided will be in the round, unless special
circumstances apply, such as open rounds where every
KAOS agent becomes a target and is liable to be
shot, blown up, stabbed... Instructions specific to
the round will be posted alongside this sheet and
will brief you on the details of the mission, should
you wish to accept it.
Any new weapons to be used in a round must be
cleared by Q before the round begins. The round will
commence when a list of targets (or equivalent
instructions) is posted on the noticeboard or
otherwise distributed. A kill sheet will also be
posted, this is used to record the name of the
killer and the victim, the method and time of death.
No kill is officially recognised until entered on
the kill sheet, any disputes should be rererred to
the person organising the round or the Dictator.
Notes will be kept on agents' performances in
killing rounds and taken in to consideration when
end of year honours are awarded.

Badges must be worn by all agents taking
part in a round, and must be worn in a prominent
position at all times during the round; any agent
who has not yet been eliminated but is caught
without a badge may be considered dead
automatically.
Boundaries:
All kills must take place on campus and the
following boundaries observed.
No kills are permitted in lecture theatres,
libraries, labs, the Lower Common Room or on
any of the campus business premises ie. banks, the
bookshop, the replay room or hairdressers.
No water kills are allowed in any building.
Limited kills are permitted in the cafes,
these are poison kills and honey traps between
consenting adults.
Killing innocent members of the public will be
frowned upon as, will the random shooting of KAOS
agents. Both are executionable offences so watch
out!
Weapons:
Water pistols bought from any of the retail
outlets around town are the predominant weapon of
KAOS. Bike pumps, syringes, drench guns and the like
do not qualify. You only need to hit your opponent,
not saturate him. Any agent hit is expected to die
in an honourable and hopefully spectacular manner.
because of problems in the past, waterpistols are
not to be used inside.
Rubber Knives (rubber, not plastic or
retractable knives) may be used within KAOS boundaries. Do
not be overzealous when stabbing your victim, avoid
stabbing locations which are liable to suffer pain
or damage, and do not tackle your victim. KAOS is
primarily a non-contact sport (except during
parties!)
Nerve gas is any cheap and nasty perfume,
preferably one not usually used by a member of the
victim's sex. Nerve gas must be applied so that the
victim smells it, usually to the back of the neck.
Avoid the face or clothing. Aerosols may not be
used.
