Parties... where madness takes its toll1
One of the greatest things about KAOS is its parties, and we're famous for them. At the small
end of the scale there are drinkies, which can consist of only a few people sitting around having a
few drinks and eating snobby nibbly foods. Then there are the full blown P A R T Y parties, involving
music, dancing, alcohol and other acts which I shall not divulge to a general audience!
The larger parties generally come with a theme attached. There are some regular themes like
the Toga Party, Perversion Party, and the Gothic Vampire Party. For instance, last year there was a
Matrix themed party.
So not only were there the obligatory Agents Smith, Neo and Trinity outfits, but there
were also such costumes as Inhabitants of Zion (complete with plugs), one or two copies of the Lady In
The Red Dress, movie goers marvelling at the stunning CGI, and even one fellow in a Hawaiian shirt
with a box of Export Gold. So it just goes to show that there are lots of ways to interpret party
themes. The more inventive and original the costume, the better.
In short, parties are for everyones enjoyment, including the hosts!

- Understand that No means No.
- Dance.
- Have fun!
- Know that closed doors are closed for a reason.
- Treat the venue like it was your own home.
- Keep out of trouble.
- Smoke outside, away from doorways.
- Remember that throwing up inside flats/cars comes with a $50 soilage
fee.
